The Silesian University of Technology (SUT) is one of the biggest universities of  technology in Poland, with more than 60-years successful tradition in education, research and development as well as cooperation with industry. Nowadays the University offers courses within over 140 specialties in 34 majors, run by following 12 faculties of: Architecture, Automatic Control, Electronics and Computer science, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Mining and Geology, Energy and Environmental Engineering, Mathematics and Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Organization and Management, Material Science and Metallurgy, Transport.

About teaching team

Professor Aleksander Sladkowski is Full Professor (DScTech) and head of research group of the Department of Railway Transport, and Professor and head of the Department of Logistics and Mechanical Handling at the Silesian University of Technology, Poland. His teaching and research interests are connected with transport engineering, mechanical engineering, apply mechanics and mine machines. He is author of 264 published scientific works (8 books, 11 patents, etc.)
